# Rabdi

Rabdi is Arkiv's current public testnet. You can build and test your app against a live network.

## Connect your app

Call [`rabdi`](https://docs.arkiv.network/typescript-sdk/api-reference/chains/functions/rabdi/) from the SDK with your [access key](https://docs.arkiv.network/start-here/access-keys/), and pass the chain to a client:

Arkiv’s public RPC is heavily rate limited to prevent abuse, so get a free access key from the [Arkiv Hub](https://hub.arkiv.network/access-keys). With `accessKey: ""`, the chain uses the public RPC and logs a warning.

## Get test tGLM

Arkiv uses GLM to pay for transactions. On Rabdi it’s test GLM, `tGLM`. Get some from the [faucet](https://hub.arkiv.network/faucet).
